These are ideas contributed by Rosemary Beaumont of Shelton Infant School, Derby.

Many thanks to Rosemary for contributing these ideas. I have just scanned in the worksheets to go with the grids so they are not the best quality but they should give you the idea. You will need to make your own grids. You could try using our PIXIE playmat with suitable small pictures taped to the back.

This one is for year one and there is a worksheet to go with it. A jpg of the file is here.

This is for year1/2 and there is a worksheet to go with it. A jpg of the file is here. You might like to extend the idea by giving the children a shopping list so that they have to write a PIXIE program to buy all the things on it.

This is for reception. There is no worksheet to go with it but I think it is self-evident what is going on. You might find a memory game with pairs of pictures or symbols to use as a source for the materials.

This is for year 2 and there are two worksheets to go with it. A jpg of file1 is here.

A jpg of file2 is here. The grid has the names of famous attractions like Lego Land and Alton Towers on it.
