PIPPIN has a rechargeable battery inside which stores the power to turn the wheels. It can be recharged many times.

PIPPIN comes with a special charger for its battery. Only use the "Swallow Systems" charger that came with it for charging PIPPIN. Do not use this charger for anything else. Unplug the charger when not in use.

The charger must be plugged into PIPPIN's charger socket and then into the mains.

Make sure that PIPPIN is switched OFF. When you turn the mains on, PIP will sing and bopbeep at you. The green light on top will come on. The light will go off when the battery is fully charged.

PIPPIN can be charged at any time. You do not have to wait until the battery is flat. You can leave PIPPIN connected to the charger even when it is fully charged.

If you use PIPPIN a lot you should try and charge it up whenever it is not in use. Even a short charge can help keep PIPPIN going. It likes its "tea breaks" just as you do.

Never store PIPPIN with a flat battery, always charge it first.
