When you first get PIP it may need charging up. Lay PIP on its back and plug the charger into the socket underneath. Plug the charger into the mains socket and turn the socket on. PIP's red charging light next to the socket will come on and PIP will sing and bopbeep at you.

Leave PIP like this until the red light goes out. See here for further details of charging PIP up. Turn the mains off and unplug the charger from PIP.

To test that PIP is working well, put PIP on a clean flat hard surface such as a vinyl tile floor and press these buttons in this order:-

PIP should go forwards, pause, turn left, turn right, turn left, go backwards, flash its lights and play a tune.

PIP works best on a hard smooth clean surface.
