Speed control

The PIP simulator allows you to run programs at different speeds. If you are just starting, you may want to run the programs very slowly so that you can see what the symbol does for each program step. When you write a long complex program you might want to run the program very fast and look at the track that the symbol leaves.

The speed control is a slider on the left side of the screen. You can adjust the speed by dragging the slider along the control. If you move the slider to the right it makes the program run faster. Sliding it to the left slows the program down. If you click on the slider it shows a number for the speed. You can change the speed from 1 to 50. 1 is very slow, 5 is a good starting point when you first use the program. The speed may vary on different computers.
