Dear Mike,

I am head of robotics at the University of Plymouth, a member of IEE

committee B3, a director of the BARA (British Automation and Robot

Association)and the second UK representative on the governing council of the

IFR (International Federation of Robotics). I was dismayed to hear the IEE

are thinking of ending the annual micromouse competition. Before any

decision is made I feel this should be discussed at the next B3 meeting.
